Dream

I began to dream tho' my eyes were open wide-- Are these the things I wish for you inside? I dream of soaring on the clouds which float so very high-- Slide down the rainbow which spans through the sky. At the end of rainbow there isn't that pot of gold-- That's chased by so many people from days of old. I dream of a meadow where flowers flow for days-- Flowers that heal your soul in so many ways. Daisies, pansies, please don't forget the carnation-- They are the ones that can heal the entire nation. See, red ones, white ones, these bear the name rose-- Yes you were there, I saw them tickle your nose. I continue to dream tho' my eyes are open wide-- Look to the left and see the ocean and the tide. It's coming in at ten feet high, but not to overtake you- Simply to release, cover, and perhaps even shake you. From every mask you had to wear to impress everyone-- Open your eyes and day dream- let's have some fun.
