The path we had taken together Full of stones and thorns Each step was hard and arduous But my feet never felt the worn Round the corner the road turned smooth And then I wished to rest a while You prodded me to move on Lest darkness cast its vile Now as the day grows bright My tired limbs cry for rest I know time is short And you desire to reach your nest I go through immense pain Failing to keep up with you But my heart feels burdened To be hurdle in your pursuit I try to be strong And match each step with you My love for you the only beacon That will guide me through And when we reach your dream I will lay my head on your chest Your strong arms around me Letting me sleeplike a baby my life rest
