Draw Near
O Lord, our God.
Why have You forgotten us?
Be it our name, be it our fame,
be it our works and deeds,
none of those impress You,
but for our hearts stripped bare.
Naked we stand infront of You,
surrendering ourselves,
declaring our sins and failures to You,
pleading for Your grace, Your love, Your kindness.
Souls broken, tormented.
That's when You draw near.
O Lord, our God.
We feel You near again.
Keep these hearts full of Your love
and these minds empty
from the wisdom of this world.
Give us a heart that desires You.
Fill us with Your Word
