Dragon Heat

She wrapped her legs around the Dragon She felt the fire deep within the beast. With her strength she ruled this pagan On his glowing heart she wished to feast She felt the fire deep within the beast A blue flame rose up within her core On his glowing heart she wished to feast There was nothing that she wanted more A blue flame rose up within her core This pleasure she could not explain There was nothing she wanted more All of his thoughts invaded her brain This pleasure she could not explain In the end she had to let go All of his thoughts invaded her brain She was left with a translucent glow In the end she had to let go With his strength he ruled this pagan She was left with a translucent glow She wrapped her legs around the Dragon

Sometimes as much as we love, we have to let go for one reason or another. Fascinating write Rick, woven to perfection. Take care, Richard

Hi Richard....I did read this piece yesterday but was honestly stumped for what to write as a post...As a literary piece of work, of course, you now I love your work; however, the imagery was very raw...especially the pagan bit...I was trying to understand whether there are hidden meanings...i don't know...a very different piece of work from you....

I meant sometimes the start of a pantoum leads me in a direction I don't expect. It is a challange to have it somehow end up full circle. I further challanged myself with this one because I rhymed it as well. The rhyming reduces word options substantialy.

Ha ha, I added pagan after I wrote the poem because I needed a word to rhyme with Dragon. Sometimes the starting lines in a pantoum end up leading you in a direction I don't expect.

YES!!!! Spot on! This piece has some hidden layers to it. Very well done on this. And, of course, anything involving a dragon...count me in.
