Downthrow
You lied to me
When you said I could breathe underwater
I often bathe in sin
But now I’m afraid of the open sea
Anxiety chokes me like razor wire
Raped by my childhood
Sorry I didn’t hear you
I was busy dying in the corner
You’ve ripped at me and you’ve torn at me
You poked and you slaughtered
You took blood from my veins
And painted me a masterpiece
Flaming drops of insanity
Are the tears you created
And from now on
I will
Beat my fist against my chest
If only to prevent my heart from beating for you
