Down Forgotten Paths

We walk down forgotten paths on the way to eternity Ancient stone structures line the path We feel the weight of the years on our shoulders We experience a sense of deja - vu momentarily Surely we have walked this road before But no, we soon realize we soon realize we have never gone before and that it is the way we must go and that we must hurry for we have a date with destiny

Excellent poem, Matthew. There are paths that we have to follow, even if we are not always sure of where they lead to. A date with destiny can never be discarded. a 7 rating. // paul

I would never want to be late for a date with destiny.... If we feel like we've been here before, it means that we are traveling down the wrong path once again. There is only one way that leads us to our destiny.... I love the depth of this soulful and thought provoking write. A wonderful poem, Matthew!
