Down By the River
Color me red
with violence
Bind me
with that look you give
those words you say
Take me away
from myself
from the gods
overbearing
staring down at me
Create a silence
and listen
and as night falls
as you dream
alone, know that
there is no
structure
no sanity
no peace
on this earth
Swallow the chaos
and sleep soundly
deeply
color me
