Doubtful In Love

Again tonight reality taunts me I am too timid to entertain my fears That unspoken and uncertain feeling Concealed deeply yet nurtured by years A picture of acceptance have I slowly painted With placid smiles on skeptical eyes A pact with doubt I remain acquainted For promises could be true or truthful lies Have I lived for love or it lived for me? I waver between imagination and fact Often what ought may never be Am I truly loved or playing an act?
