Double Rainbow

As the sun was setting at days' end A storm started raging came around bend It came closer: too close into our lives For there was lightning, thunder, rife Fear would have consumed us that night As we shook with each roll and strike But God in his mercy sent a rainbow Not just one rainbow but two in a row Understand there is a scientific explanation That addresses the reasons behind the bow But that rainbow was God sent for I needed so A little sign from above that he was still there And he was tenderly holding me in his care When the storms are raging on the tempestuous sea Remember there are still rainbows for you and me God is still alive; working our problems to bear

Double rainbows are lovely to view Sara, thank you again for your kind words. Poems about love and passion should in the perfect world fill our hearts. The majority of us came into this world under these moments of love and pleasure. Sara, your challenge is too write a pssionate poem >> James,xx

Nice poem! Thanks for your comment on my new upload! I do love coffee in the morning, whether it is cloudy, raining or snowing, however there is something about morning sun and coffee (and a good read)! Thanks, Gavin. (I'm only 19 - I've just realised, I must sound far older, what with my morning routine!)

Lovely poem, Sara, do love rainbows and their colours!!! Thank you for commenting "Dreams Like Light-Waves"...Did you know that Maina-Birds are the best in immitating all fifferent kind of noises and they even talk more clearly than parrots do? You'd be confused all the time if you'll think that it was your telephone ringing!! Very funny birds!! Thanks for your kind comments,,,,Gert

This is an outstanding and well expressed poem, Sara, one that was a delight to read. Thanks for your comments on my poem, which was based on a true story when a NJ State Trooper ran a stop sign and struck a car, killing the driver and her passenger. Such tragedies inspire me to write about them, and I often personalize such poems. I would have sent you a site message, but I cannot get it to work for me. Carl.
