Donuts Dipped In Coffee
You are special like every star God hand created
So, take me back I want seconds to last longer because when I left your lips stayed imprinted on mines
So, I feel you every day in the midst of separation
Longing for you to be there again
I would lay my head down to be with you because I wasn’t next to you
Anything to relive being by your side
You make me want to paint the sky your favorite color, so you always have a good day
I’d pull the moon closer and make the sun cooler if you wanted me to
Her love is soft like a kiss to the check, fair complexion, clouds rubbing against my skin, or warm leather
I need her like the body needs water or oxygen
Because she rejuvenates me into a new morning, my reason for any reason
I think you’re a coffee drinker, so I wonder what your coffee kisses would taste like
She’s so darling and the fact that she is blind to herself is quite alarming
But ok, because if you let me, I can save the day for just another kiss
Because your lips give me life while I’m in hell
Everything about her is like the joy of a new morning
Sunshine for a dying flower and sugar to the plain
Let’s share genuine conversation and get lost in the pain
Because I can be the heart if you’ll share your beat as the rest of the early morning remains
My donuts dipped in coffee, and I promise never to share
p.s. I never really drink coffee, but I’ll taste it every now and then along with my 6am donuts because of you…
