Don'T Wake Me Up

If your face only exists in my dreams, don't wake me up Because the sun doesn't shine if it isn't your smile The moon doesn't twinkle if not in your eyes If I'm sleeping just leave me here for a while Because it's possible, even in your dreams, to be mesmerized Your touch is like a drug and at night I get my fix Your eyes have me tumbling into a trance like a ton of bricks I'm going through withdrawals when I'm awake Can't distinguish dreams from reality, it's all become so opaque I have become a slave to my own mind because all it wants is you And in my dreams is the only place that comes true I find myself daydreaming and seeing you at random times It's hard to tell but I think I'm slowly losing my mind You've become an obsession consuming reality, my personal addiction But when I'm with you it's bliss, pleasure in its finest depiction If it's wrong, then nothing on God's green earth has ever felt more right My will is broken, my mind no longer willing to fight Although I know you're a figment of my imagination You're more real to me than all of creation I've given into the desires of my mind and now am yours to keep It's time for me to finally wake up, so please just let me sleep
