Dont Judge My Cover
Don't Judge My cover; for this cover, it is not mine
I was given this cover for a short period of time
It started a perfect canvas on the day that I was born
Now even the edges of my pages are all worn out and torn
A few pages are missing never to be read again
I wished one day you open and read what's deep within
Read the pages slowly you can not go back in time
For someday you'll regret it if you don't look deep inside
You'll open me and read me then put me down again
Don't drop any pages for then my story ends
Just close me up and put me back
Then pick me up again
Please continue to tell my story
Maybe even share me with a friend.
I know my story is boring
You might lose interest fast
But I promise you will finally understand
All the pain I had in years past
Even if you choose to put me down again
At least I'll know one person might finally understand
See no one has ever read me completely front to back
They don't know all the things I hide as they all choose to put me back
Ive laid upon this bookshelf
Dreaming of things yet to come
Yet no one seems to want to read
A book as torn up as this one.
