Do You See Me?
Did you see me?
Sneaking in a little late,
hiding in the back on the steps,
quiet as I could be.
Did you hear me?
Silent tears flowed down my face,
there was a small echo, drip drop,
as the tears fell to the ground.
Did you feel my presence?
A darkness that loomed in the air,
a heart that had become hardened,
by a newfound despair.
Did you notice me?
The fact I was never there,
my body stopped trying to come to life,
as I gave into the lies.
Can you now see me?
Sitting as close as I can,
my smile illuminating into a grin,
my eyes full of life.
Do you hear me?
Songs come from my voice,
tears of joy fall freely,
as I praise once again.
Do you feel my presence?
A lightened soul in front of you,
ecstatic and joyful,
something so new.
Do you notice me?
My head held up high,
the way that my hands lift up towards the sky,
I no longer listen to the lies.
