Do You Know Me
Do You Know Me?
You think you know me?
Think again.
I am not who you think I am.
I am more complex than what your eyes see.
Many layers like an onion
Try peeling them away
And you may see the real me.
If I mean that much to you,
There I am -
See me.
There you go again.
Looking at reflections
Thru’ glazed eyes.
Hearing echoes of my voice
Not listening to what I mean
Thru’ half-deaf ears.
That’s not me
You see.
Many dark curtains
Many thick walls
Many heavy mists
If I mean that much to you,
You’ll see thru’ the haze
You’ll walk thru’ the maze
And may find the real me
You should get to know.
