Do You Hear What I Hear
Do you hear what I hear
As snowflakes dance to the ground,
It’s in a stranger’s greeting
As the holidays come around.
Do you hear what I hear
As shoppers bustle here and there,
It’s in the magic of a bell
As it’s ringing fills the air.
Do you hear what I hear
As children laugh with delight,
It’s in the holiday decorations
As they twinkle merry and bright.
Do you hear what I hear
As carolers sing at your door,
It’s in the words of each song
As they are sung with galore.
Do you hear what I hear
As we are blessed this Holy night,
It’s in the stars shinning above us
As they guide us with their wondrous light.
Do you hear what I hear
As family and friends gather around,
It’s in the gifts we share
As Christmas becomes the only sound.
Do you hear what I hear
As Santa and his reindeer fly,
It’s in the way we believe
As his sleigh soars across the sky.
Do you hear what I hear
As peace fills us once a year,
It’s in the way we come together
As we remember why we’re here.
