Do You Hear What I Hear

Do you hear what I hear As snowflakes dance to the ground, It’s in a stranger’s greeting As the holidays come around. Do you hear what I hear As shoppers bustle here and there, It’s in the magic of a bell As it’s ringing fills the air. Do you hear what I hear As children laugh with delight, It’s in the holiday decorations As they twinkle merry and bright. Do you hear what I hear As carolers sing at your door, It’s in the words of each song As they are sung with galore. Do you hear what I hear As we are blessed this Holy night, It’s in the stars shinning above us As they guide us with their wondrous light. Do you hear what I hear As family and friends gather around, It’s in the gifts we share As Christmas becomes the only sound. Do you hear what I hear As Santa and his reindeer fly, It’s in the way we believe As his sleigh soars across the sky. Do you hear what I hear As peace fills us once a year, It’s in the way we come together As we remember why we’re here.

The downside to Christmas is, how the living room looks so empty and bare, when you take down the decorations, lovely poem Deborah>>James
