Do You Hear the Gentle Whisper
Do you hear the gentle whisper
of the falling autumn leaves?
When the nights are getting crisper,
but the heart – it still believes,
That tomorrow will be brighter,
That the sun will melt the ice,
It’s the ice I see inside your deep blue eyes.
Do you know why clocks are ticking
so much slower than before?
Why my thoughts of you are weeping,
and the eyes look at the door?
It’s because you never left me,
In my memories you’re still
The most beautiful creation of free will.
So if I could ask just one thing,
as this moment passes by,
Was this love a simple “nothing”
and should we just say goodbye?
Do you hear the gentle whisper,
of the falling autumn leaves?
It’s the sound of my heart that still believes.
