Divorce
A seven-letter word
That holds three major words
In the palm of it’s hands
Honey it’s over
The affair was worth it
The pain you caused
Brought nothing but shame
My heart is shattered
It’s hard to explain
Why I was given this cane
It looks like your words
Were all in vain
For better for worse
Sounds like a lengthy curse
Vows written rings exchanged
Commitments made promises broken
Lies concocted, lives destroyed all for gain
Greed and lust was your game
Nothing will ever be the same.
