Distorted View On Main Street

Looking at my reflection In a pool of water, my face appeared oblong as the quivering breeze created ripples across the surface, for a moment as I pondered I spy a glimpse of the future, looking up at me! © Harry J Horsman 2012

I'm wondering if distortion isn't a good thing when seeing oneself. Do we ever know who we truly are? Love your thought in this one.

oh, yes, this is so relatable, harry. I see my mother and think how I will look like her one day (good thing she is still pretty good looking at 80!!) but yes, things get a bit distorted, sadly!!
