I feel his touch in the notes of a song
I hear him in the words of that same song
His presence surrounds me as I listen to that same song
Yet he is not here, least ways I cannot see him.
His scent is on the breeze of springs first breath
Warming the chill of winter from around me
I see his being in the clouds white all around
A leaf, soft in its texture, brushes my face
Much like a lovers kiss upon my cheek.
The sun settles in for its evening rest
Bringing an end to my dreamy afternoon
With a light shiver caressing my body
It gives me cause to believe that he is close
Trying to reach across time and space
To close that void that fills my everday.
With each moment that we are separate
By the miles that part us, he is remembered.
