Distant In Time
Memories will oft become distant in time
sentimental journeys too far to reach
A faded photograph with meaning sublime
A song of old with lessons to teach
So far away our thoughts may stray
as memories become distant in time
Distant tomorrows are nearer today
Life's script is not a paradigm
Life itself will become a distant thing
as time bridges the mortality gap
Our memory will then become distant in time
And a faded photograph will hold meaning sublime
