The choppy sea turned leaden, ominous clouds covered the sky. The wind became chilly and strong. The flustered kite went dizzy; it twirled, then dipped and crashed to the young girl’s annoyance. She had had more than enough. Shivering, she called it a day! --------------------------------------- Paul Callus ~ 14th December 2015 Contest: Oil Paintings 4-5 Sponsor: Eve Roper

It's almost delightful to us, but the problems seem so much bigger when you're young. Luckily - with a child's intention span she'll probably forget about it soon and go frolicking once again, when the sky is clear.

Hi Timothy....this is one poem that I still have to work over. There is something not right...missing; I might rewrite it all; I'm not sure...first time I posted a poem which could have waited longer. Yes, children do get over things quite quickly..:) // paul

Oh, I like the way you just made a short little tale of this picture. WEll done! I found this challenge hard to do except to just choose a short way to say it!

Oh your entry is just right, Andrea, both in form and content. I kept seeing the girl's facial expression, and had to base the poem on that. ~ regards ~~ paul
