Disgrace

Between a broken home/ And an empty grave/ Lies a lovestruck soul/ That nobody saved/ Not a rotting corpse/ Or a ghostly dream/ Something from nightmares/ And the in between/ between a promise broke/ and a romance lost/ Lies a trace of hope/ with infinite cost/ A man that wears a cross/ doesn't blink an eye/ While the bodies he tossed/ Fall to the sky/ But He never forgets/ Nor does he queston why/ He still feels nothing/ while watching them die/ He thinks unto himself/ is there an afterlife?/ I've shed so much pure blood/ When will he hear their cries? (Some men follow their faith blindly/ Some challenge god to truly see/ Some live in fear of deities/ Some need proof of what they believe/) A girl who's all alone/ Waiting in the woods/ hands are just too cold/ To come of any good/ Her lover to return/ She thought any time now/ But that damned Holy man/ Put him in the ground/ She shivers while she waits/ For someone who is gone/ And for that same cold fate/ If only she'd moved on/ That man wearing a cross/ Tested his faith that day/ he came upon that girl/ In the most sickly way/ She screamed till her throat bled/ Her screams muffled to cries/ she choked on so much red/ While she prayed to the skies/ And that same Holy man/ Gave up his cross that night/ What kind of god could watch/ And then stay out of sight/ He left that noble lie/ For incandescent truth/ That bastards Holy life/ left him one path to choose/ (Some men follow their faith blindly/ Some challenge god to truly see/ Some live their lives in fear of deities/ Some need proof of what they believe/) When that Holy man/ crawled in bed that night/ He lay beside his wife/ trying to rethink life/ He turned onto his side/ Tomorrows' a new day He'll kiss his love goodnight/ And then it's time for change/ But what he found when he/ Went in for that last kiss/ Made him shudder and shake/ For what he saw was this/ A gorgeous girl/ With teary eyes/ An open stomach/ matching blood-red thighs/ Two slit wrists/ a familiar face/ that woman/ was his last embrace/ He thought how, could she be alive/ I watched the life/ flutter from her eyes/ with a crooked smile/ She turned toward him/ She Said ” God is gone, Meet the lord of sin”/ (Some men follow their faith blindly/ Some challenge god so they can truly see/ Some live their lives in fear of deities/ Some need proof of what they believe/)
