Disappearing Act
This is a story about a boy so bold
A story around campfires; a hero I suppose
When people talk about him, some say he knows
The truth of his story still yet to be told
A strong young lad without a fear in his head
Some loved him to pieces others wanted him dead
A true dreamer someone might have once said
A noble character who hurt his friends
An unhappy child with an unhappy mother
Everyone says it, even his brother
So many talents not quite like any other
Lost in a world of hate looking for a lover
A star was born one November's eve
Destined for fame that he could not see
Jealousy is contagious between you and me,
they knew where he was headed; he had tricks up his sleeve
And this strong young man was without a clue,
He couldn't say a word; there was nothing he could do
No-where to run, it's either me or it's you,
His chances off conquering were really quite few
And in his head confused with such turmoil
Such twisted plans began to boil
If it were true, he was to be put in the soil
He had a plan that no one could foil
Some say he was paranoid, but he possessed a gift
One final test; he passed if he lived.
They said they would find him for they were quite miffed,
I'm on his side for no one has seen him since
That's just what happens when you're the talk of the town.
Some smile to your face, inside wanting to frown,
It's not his fault he fell into the wrong crowd....
If I ever see him again, I'm gonna help him out!
If only he would have said something, to you or me
He could have changed my mind and made me believe
I hope he's okay; a sigh of relief...
With all those tricks, just remember he's got two sleeves!
