Did You

HE SITS IN THE SAME CHAIR EVERYDAY. HE CONTEMPLATES WEATHER OR NOT TO STAY. TRIES TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE IS THE WAY HE IS. FACES RUN THROUGH HIS HEAD ENDLESSLY. CAN YOU STOP WHAT HE IS THINKING? TO HIM THIS IS ANOTHER DAY. TO YOU THIS IS NEW. HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED AND TALKED TO THIS KID? HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED TO LOOK AND SEE WHAT GOES ON IN HIS HEAD? WHEN HE SITS AND DOES HIS WORK DO YOU WONDER IF HES JUST A GOOD STUDENT? OR IS HIS WORK HIS WAY OF RELEASE. HE STANDS IN THE HALL SAME SPOT EVERYDAY. YOU PASS HIM LIKE A LEAF BLOWING BUY A TREE. HE GOES TO CLASS AND SITS IN THE SAME RED CHAIR WITH THE BROKEN LEG. DID YOU WONDER WHERE HE WAS TODAY? DID YOU WONDER WHY HE HAS BEEN GONE ALL WEEK? DID YOU WONDER WHY YOU SAW HIS NAME IN THE OBITUARARY UNDER SUCICIDE? HE LAYS IN THE SAME COFFIN DAY AFTER DAY. DID YOU TRY TO UNDERSTAND? DID YOU EVEN TRY TO STOP WHAT HE WAS THINKING? HIS TOMBSTONE SITS ON THE SAME PLOT EVERY DAY. HIS TOMBSTONE THAT HAS A BROKEN CORNER. THE ONE THAT READS DID YOU?

yes i did read this and paid very much attention. it touched me deeply. behind my eye's are lurking tears that i could let fall but i'll stay in control. you spoke of a boy, that boy is my son. the son i never had. or else that boy is me, survived the suicide and on the rise. but i'm rattleling you did good John Henry Loving III
