Did I

When this present life fades away And my life passes from dawn to dusk What kind of path will I leave in my wake? How had I walked, where did I put my trust? What lasting legacy will I leave behind For those who would follow after? Did I live a life true to myself Or strive only to gain man's favor? Did I find true peace within? Was this life worth the struggle? Did I allow God live through me? Did I let Him to carry my troubles? Did these eyes show others compassion? Did these lips speak words of love? Did these hands help the needy? Did my spirit rise above? To know my purpose for living These thoughts I must address For when I am old, will my eyes be clear Or cloudy with regret? G'day Laura... I think on reflection, we all have some regrets in life, but with the questions you put in your poem give your answers as mostly positive outcomes, then you will have lived a fulfilling life - enjoyed - Lindsay
