Diamonds Scars
I have sat in reckless wonder
and watched the days go by
counting ne'er the stars
of breathless seemingly beautiful sighs-
In infinite stillness
within the quietness of the night
revealing desert rose
mirrored tears encased in light-
To watch through diamond skies
and sing amongst the shadowed rain
no one could know my sorrow
or ever guess my pain-
For my heart is as the sun
and never goes away
though infused with darkness
times scars can never sway-
My soul is carried on the wind
passed through to raging sea
whatever storms may come
the fire within so much a part of me-
