Devil Mind

Devil mind The fire light shines as time flies. I see skies all alight with stars in my eyes. I’m wishing, believing, unseeing and dreaming And for eternity I will never be deceiving. This world was made for my eyes only. All the people, pieces of memories, Saved from Hell to serve me well. All the people with stories to tell. They stand in line, next one ready to meet. I live a life, but I never lead. I see a light in Devil’s smiles. He came along, this ghostly man, Dressed in female form selling his wiles. She has her own version of the love story. She begins to tell the tale of how she came to be. I listen carefully searching for a lie, But she has been practicing for this moment her entire life, And all the deception I am unable to find, For she has had more experience than I. I’m searching for an angel on Earth, But all the angel’s down here have crashed into the dirt, And all their love has lost its worth. Devil woman talks to me, And I succumb to her. (C)2020 Aa Harvey.
