Have you ever been witness to a burst of the wind laden of leaves, while stirring the dust? It will gather itself, then collide from within, swallow up air, filling its lungs... becoming a sphere that stretches its limbs A sudden explosion walking over the earth taking the form, of a sand-colored worm rising and falling, in a reptile's intrusion, finding surprise, when it loses its breath, and falls to earth, confused in its death while leaving behind only muted destruction ________________________________ 8/2/15 For Skat's Wind Contest

whirling dirvish came to my mind but I think that has to do with something completely different! this is really nice, Carrie. BIG congrats on a great win. (I don't think I have seen this kind of wind)

I have never witnessed a reptile explosion as such... but I have travelled through your verse, get caught in the wind and whirled falling to earth... Great poem our dear Carrie.
