Devastation

When devastation sets in, there's no truth in color and tomorrow doesn't exist. Reality distorts and what you believe, becomes. Memories become lost friends of yesterday, enemies of today. Responsibility belongs to tomorrow. Freedom becomes penal, shadows lighten brilliantly, dark is light. Sweat cleanses the brow, tears heighten perceptions. And self destroys self, righteously.
