Desperate Image
All my life I seek to give,
Hoping to have a world to live,
Wishing to please,my heart,men deceive,
As unto their thoughts,I plead to cleave,
Wanting to know what they think of me,
Their expectations I try to be,
Causing the true me to flee,
For feasting on my innocence they glee,
In their eyes,my respect,I loose,
As I am treated like a goose,
My pride and esteem lies in the roost,
For from my eyes, bulky tears ooze,
I stare in the mirror with sorrow,
Witnessing the effect of their poisonous arrow,
I seek to be a better me on the morrow,
As I rise from the depth of fear's furrow,
