Despair

I held out the hand of friendship, I thought I was trying to help. I took someones word on trust, I just want the money he owes me I am treated with utter disgust. I tried hard to give him some honor, I told him of hardship he's causing, I felt sneering dislike coming back. I guess I will never learn in this life, I can only see good in others. I wonder why is it they always win. I wonder why others cannot witness. I wish they could see what I see in him. © Dave Timperley September 2015
