Desert Breath
The desert stretches before me,
Desolate in its peace.
The wind-swept rocks rise,
Contorted above the rocky sands,
Looking like creatures,
From another world.
The wind sweeps around me,
A sent messenger,
Telling of the journey beyond,
With emptiness in its breath.
