Desert

In a desert not afraid I've been on this walk for days My pace becomes really slow The desert night becomes real cold I'm huddled up all alone A shiver climbs all through my bones I awake another day to find myself in this place My bodies hot I can't think My mind slowly starts to slip My mouths so dry this aching thirst Then it hits me in a burst There is no desert it's only me A thirst for life that can't be eased

One can live a dry and infertile life without ever leaving home. This is a thought-provoking write.
