Derek Chauvin's Trial

Derek Chauvin has been found guilty: of unintentional murder in the second degree, of murder in the third degree, and manslaughter in the second degree. "I can't breathe" was George Floyd's last uttered sound as former police officer Chauvin pinned Floyd's head to the ground. After this fatal incident occurred in Minnesota, there were widespread protests all over America. Along with Chauvin's civil rights infraction, he has also been booked with tax evasion. So passes another episode of race-related crime as Chauvin goes to prison to serve his time. from various news sources

Ah, but there will be many appeals, and the judge set the stage for surprises by invoking Maxine Waters' inflammatory calls for confrontation as grounds for a mistrial. We'll see what happens, and I know you'll keep us posted as well, Robert. Light and Law, Gershon

Every time I recall this incident and all the widespread turmoil that followed, I ask when this race related crimes are going to stop. When should we stop to judge based on our skin color. Have a great evening Robert
