Depths of the Heart

False promises, you spoke to me only half lies, Because I still believe in the love inside, If only for that moment, I still cherish, When the anger and pain disappear and perish, The worth in it proves more, even when the pain is fresh in my mind, For as long as the sun still rises, there is more love to find, Everyday is a struggle, yet loves chance is worth taking, The future unknown, yet God's provisions in the making, The plan so precise my small mind cannot comprehend, Love still picks me up, and carries my heart till the end, So false promises, my eyes can see, The love was very real, but could not be, Each step furthering us when we allow it to, We are more in control than we thought we knew, Not a moment too late, or a moment too soon, At just the right time, love brings us back to the truth, The worth in seeing the depth of the heart, Bringing us back to the love we had from the start.

Great Attitude. Love is worth the risk. Once truly in our heart it never leaves even if our pride sometimes takes a battering and our sense of self worth is hard to find. Great Poem. Glad I stopped by From David in NZ
