I'm not sure I agree that "the most beautiful art...begins to sprout" when depression hits an artist. I've never experienced depression to the degree. I do get moody at times with temporary loss of ambition, that's all. So I stop writing and do something else until I'm back in my writing mood. Thank you for the kind stop by, and best to you in your writing endeavors. / M

Hello, Maurice thank you for the reply. Great works of art begin in every example of the human condition. What makes art born in depression especially beautiful to me is that it comes from a vulnerable and very raw place.
