Depressingly Surprised
Surprised by the words of my mother,
I start to cry.
I had no idea.
How could they not tell me?
He's dead and I never knew who he was!
I miss him so much
Why did he have to go?
Can anyone answer this for me?
I never knew he was my father until he died, 6 years ago.
Now I sit and I cry,
and try to imagine what it would've been like,
if only I knew.
