Departure
Long gone, never to return are the feelings of anxiety.
All have been given free will to the world using diligent sobriety.
In the past are all concerns and trials so cry no more.
Cast your burdens on the spark of creation that knocks at the door.
Jesus, knowing what his future held, consoled and cried along with us.
Before his departure, he promised to leave a comforter with us.
He held me close to his heart, in his bosom, he kept me warm.
He sheltered me from the torrential rain and wind of the storm.
Enduring each day that sometimes feels like a year,
With his spirit within me, I shall have no fear.
He guides me with staff and corrects me with his rod.
We have not the spirit of this world but the spirit of God.
Understand the meaning of life and your specific purpose here.
Stand strong and courageous in spirit and shed not a tear.
What was never born will never die.
When I leave this earth, my friend, do not cry.
