You will grow old in another's arms, not mine
And in your comfort zone
You will remember again the boy at the gate
Leaning his head to see between
The lime tree branches - the absence of you
Why would I walk so far in the sun
To see you hiding among the shadows
Your voice bellowing - I know the old
Unresolved of childhood, the indelible
Of pain nibbling where you hide your peace -
Some things are never meant to me
It does not matter now my longing to be free
From the sun burning hollow place
