Deep Within This Shallow Vessel I Dwell
Deep Within This Shallow Vessel I Dwell
Loud thunder wakes me, epic pain aches me
deep within this shallow vessel I dwell.
Waiting harvest of that blessed fruit tree
sending gift of glorious heaven or fiery hell.
No atonement can replace that gift so freely given,
sacrifice so desperately sweet and dear.
No measure of good intentions or righteous liven'
can increase the days, nights and live long year.
A comfort of solace wraps me times I need it most
to bid me to eagerly trod the righteous path.
Obeying the gentle whispers of the Holy Ghost
fearing not terrible pains of God's righteous wrath.
That great light shines casting shadows just to tell,
one path leads to heaven, the others all go to hell.
