Deep Within

Deep within the recesses of her mind Dwells the season of her childhood trauma She is forlorn with sadness untold She chills with a stare so cold Suddenly her season swings Now she blooms like spring She smiles as she exudes joy She is a beautiful flower to enjoy But she'll change yet again And all her blooms will fall Her smile will disappear And deep within the recesses of her mind An abused little girl you'll find ---- 5/14/16

Yes describes abuse and the swings of depression, the naviests of all blues. Good job presenting the roller coaster ride! Nicely written.

Those scars never fully disappear... it's great that one can overcome it enough to bloom and grow.. but sadly sometimes the demons come back to haunt. Very expressive and emotive poem, Joseph.
