Declaration of Faith
When our forefathers came and settled this land
with dreams and aspirations,
a declaration of faith, in their fellow man,
was devised to serve the nation.
Men, with dreams, they stepped up and fought for cause
to make the country better.
They banded together and stood strong, under God,
and eventually signed the Letter.
On parchment, was written, in ink, red with blood,
all starting, with one sentence.
For freedom attained, through death and for love,
of the country’s independence.
Significant battles had measured the length they would go
to just be able to be free.
Believing, under God, for good and through faith
they’d get their liberty.
Today, when all speak of the love of their nation
and choose to fight for good,
take God with you, as He was there at this country’s birth,
make Him a part, as we should.
