Deceptive Lover
I read your lover’s poetry,
And saw his deceptive way.
He manipulated your emotions,
Which makes me angry I must say.
He promised to come and meet you,
He promised you everlasting love.
Then told you about another,
Must have felt like a slap with an iron glove.
I feel your pain of love loss,
I hear you silent cries.
As you longed to be held,
Here he stands on your heart until it dies.
I know it will be hard to trust
I know you fear loves pain
My arms are open my sweet
In a hope you feel loves warmth again
