Death's Effect On Me

DIZAIN CONTEST When the death messenger came to retrieve My wife and loved one of twenty plus years I thought it would cause me to mourn and grieve Instead of breaking down and shedding tears And my life being filled with many fears Instead, I only felt joy and great peace An unusual joy that would increase Not the typical joy that one may feel Joy and great peace that would just never cease She is in the arms of Jesus for real 10 January 2020 For the contest, How Death Affected Me

Curtis, yes, this is how I think a person should feel when their loved one leaves them. You are strong of faith and I am glad to know that you understand that death is not the end, but rather a passage into a more glorious state. Congrats on your well deserved win. Only 20 plus years though?? It seems to me she passed a bit young? Sorry about that. i don't recall ever knowing that.

She died at the age of 66, which is relatively young by today's standards. I met her in 1992, we got married in 1994, and had 20 wonderful years together. Yes, I have full knowledge of God's salvation and eternal life in Christ Jesus' death on the Cross.

Line, I fully agree! She was a lovely stimonlady in looks and in loving kindness to others. Her memory lives on in the many lives she touched. So, this poem is more than a contest entry. It is the testimony of a saint!

Thank you so much, Tim, for that insightful comment, because it's true, and I look forward to that day --- and the pleasure of meeting you in 'person' as well!
