Death Is Easy, Life Is Hard

The chill night air sings through my veins. The Moon's great face hides from me, As dark as a thousand midnights. Death is easy, Life is hard. During the blackest hours of the night, The true darkness in my soul shines through. The cruel memories held at bay during daylight, Burst through like raging demons. Clawing through my brain and heart, Mangled gray matter in their wide grins. Gleefully torment me in my dreams, Nightmares flowing with crimson blood. Screams tear from my throat, As I bolt, clawing from my dreams. The cold moves through my soul. Death is easy, Life is hard.
