Dear Sweetheart
Dear Sweetheart
How do I say goodbye?
My pen it seems so suddenly shy
I search for angels nearby
But ours is not to question why
Some thoughts of you tempt us cry
Remembering the rainbows you made us ride
The lines delivered waves of your tide
The words you use painted and dyed
Earths promise of eternity turned into a lie
The day we learned that you had died
After weeks and weeks we blindly spied
Your words were absent from our eye's
Your forest had turned to desert dry
Some of us asked why you turned aside
Some never doubted and silently cried
She left no comment or even reply
Just a message that she might die
Even so death is a surprise
I wouldn't have sent you this goodbye
We don't have you but we have your supply
Now that you have wings use them to fly
