I wrote this because I have Faith in all the POETESS' and POETS on the SOUP. I am only a half ass Poet. I have no rhythm or meter in my POETRY. I only know a couple Forms. I am not a good orater or Commentator and that is one reason Why I do not do a lot of comments.Every POEM I do comment on is a 7. I will abide by the majority of comments on "Apartment or Cabin" I LOVE YOU All, ALWAYS and FOREVER YOUR Loyal Liege...HG

Dear POETRYSOUP, Hope this finds YOU and YOURS Healthy and High in the Spirit. I am writing this on the Inspiration of Heather Ober's Contest "Love Letter". First off I want to Thank-YOU all for YOUR many Gracious Comments. They are appreciated and Inspirational. Some of YOU know about my strokes and the handicap they cause me, as far as writing any comments back to YOU. I am sorry.A few of YOU know about my stomach cancer,and how the doctors removed half of my stomach and replaced it with whatever they replace stomach lineing with. However that lining ripped and I go for surgery tomorrow. Here is my delima; After the recovery from the surgery they want me to move back to the apartment (they pay for) and leave my Cabin on the mountain for ever. I have a 24/7 nurse,(and my Spirit Nurse; Suzanne Delaney) his name is Nick and he said he would stay with me at the cabin (with a cut in pay). now I do not know why Nick is a Nurse and not a Doctor, he can do everything but surgery. sorry I am rambling. YOU are probable saying to Yourselves "What has this got to do with LOVE? By my cabin I have a house, actually a Shrine : to my DEAREST Most Only Beloved LENORE : my Wife. I have her POETRY, her Pictures and her Butterfly collection. I had the only thing left from Our Everlasting Day; Her Transparent White Wedding Vail, stolen 4 years ago in a break-in. So my ? to my Beloved Family : POETRYSOUP is :Should I go to the Apartment(across the street from hospital)or spend the next 6 moths to a year at the cabin where my True LOVE abides,with Doctor Nick. hard question to answer Harry. As much as you may think that Lenore is at the cabin she is not. her momento's are there and they too may be taken as was some of my belongings that I had of Aprils. later to find that God had preserved some of them for me. But the truth is April is in my heart. I have her pictures and I found that I sleep in her bed. not far from her dinning room set. but to lose those things would mean nothing if I lose memory. keep your body and mind well. surrender it all.

This is a very touching piece. It sounds like you have gone through a lot. I hope you have recovered substantially since writing this poem. Are you still at the cabin?

My dear poetic friend, first let me say; I have been reading your poetic bursts to your beloved LENORE for almost four years, and can assure any soul who reads you, that 'love' is not a strong enough word when your declarations of adoration for your beloved LENORE spills on your slip ! I would stay! That is, if you have speedy access to medical help! We all want you around as long as possible my friend; yet, not in grief! Enjoy every breath, and fall asleep with a smile ! Hi Harry, I think you should move to the apartment like the doctors wants you to and also to be near them. I heard through Flipper that you just had surgery. Flipper, tell LIege for me that he needs to try to recover and follow the doctors' advice. I sure want you to fight for life, Leige, and I know one day you will be reunited with Lenore. Yes, Flipper. Dear Leige..im so sorry you were passing through the cancer phase and had to do another sutgery yet so grateful you have found the support in your great nurse.I do believe Lenore would travel with you wherever you go as you travel with her through heart and soul to wherever she is.Im sure she needs you to get healthy..You should go to the apartment and once recovered visit the shrine..but believe me wherever you are she will be with you cause your heart is her home.Get well dear friend..bros

Dear Harry, First let me say how sorry that I am that you have had so many troubles but since the doctors have been able to bring you back form the brink, perhaps it would be better to let them make the decision for your welfare. You know I love you very much. I have had you in my prayers for a long time. i do not know the details but you should be close to doctors until you are completely healed. I know you miss your cabin but six months go fast. Love, Mom

I am sad that I am just now hearing of this. You are a strong and courageous man. I admire your unbelievable strength to be thinking of your love, even through such a trying time. I think you should do what your heart tells you to do. I hope Lenore will be wearing that veil when you meet her again. I pray for a speedy recovery and peace through all of this. I'm so glad i fead this. as you know I have lost a love also. and i have had a break in that brought my life down also. they took my Aprils hair that i will never see again. that hair will convict them in the court of Gods judgment. it's sounds as if you don't have long before the angels comma knocking. it's up to you. do you trust nick to keep you alive or let you go peacefully. does nick have the drugs to keep you feeling alright or that will let you leave this world peacefully? make your will
