Dear Mr Reagan

Note: Although Mr. Reagan was alive when this was written, unfortunately, Mr. Reagan never received this letter. It got misplaced and was discovered years later. Dear Mr. Reagan. I wish you the best and the happiest on your 90th birthday. We Americans are deeply honored to have had you as The President of the USA. This letter has already been delayed for several years. I could not delay any longer writing to thank you for all you did for America and the world. You probably get letters like this every day, but please understand that this is not just another letter. In this letter, I ask not for an autograph or an opportunity to be in your presence. I ask nothing of you because you have given us everything. Only God could have brought a man like you to lead America back to her place of leadership and respect in the world. I voted for Mr. Carter in his first bid for the White House, and he won. But when you ran against him, I became a Reagan Democrat. I must also add that in so doing, I became an independent thinker. Thank you for believing in people. Thank you for believing in God. Thank you for believing in 'less government'. Thank you for, 'Trust but verify'. Thank you for the tax cuts. Thank you for, 'No pretensions'. Thank you for seeing the 'real world' and for facing your enemies eye to eye. Mr. President, when the history books are written, my grandkids will study how you deservedly won a place among the greatest presidents of our time. You will rank with Lincoln and Washington. Sir, I shall never forget the way I felt in your crusade to the White House as well as when you became president. My pride in being an American was restored, and I became strong again. The rest of me became alive again. I do not doubt that your achievements in the White House during your tenure laid the foundation for the 'Rebirth of America'. I love you, sir, and God bless you.
