Dear Me
Hours go by so quickly from when we last met.
I go where few go, you're my truth no one sees
a pinch of your presence I'm cradled in your arms
warm and cozy dreaming how we're together
got to get a move on quick before he comes back
you made me steal money from my dad's wallet
he won't notice that 'til he goes to pay his bar tab
and I'll be sitting in that building two blocks away
my buzz kill family will seek me out and find me
mom cries, dad yells, my bro will tell me get a life
an ambulance blares a siren, ribs will get broke
EMT's say breathe, it's the 2nd time this week
I laugh, they jab me with a cure I never asked for
families disappointed I don't care, back to detox
crying I'm a mess I can't wait until I can go home
I'm in my bedroom, nobody talks or lectures me
I'll sneak out when they're in bed, we'll meet at the crib
I can't live without you, I need to score some smack
baby I'm good, don't stop cause you're making me hot
you never let me down, you're a true friend, a confidant
truth is I love you, to hell with family and my friends
hold me tell me your mine come take me away
slap it, then jab it all the way in my dreams come true
look it's nirvana I can feel it in my blood, tonight is ours
I see tomorrow and the next day then everything is gone
It's fate
love you too
