Dear God

Some Muslims have been fighting for a while to force people to worship God their style. In Syria a deep and wounding fissure between the I.S and the Christian Militia. Some Hindus and some Sikhs just don't get on and won't be happy until one of them is gone. And the Buddhists persecuted in Tibet by some Communists who haven't got God yet. In an old Jerusalem church, though quite aloof seven faiths have lots of bust-ups on the roof. All religions that are based on peace and love: well- it looks like someone went and shot the dove. And on high, with exasperated frown the one who made us sadly gazes down on those who maim and murder in his name yet he still loves each one of them the same.

'Shot the dove' is right. God has to be utterly perplexed, wondering why he ever gave us free will?! He is not amused...well instated poetry Viv!

Beautiful sentiment. If only we could fix what is broken with the power of words.

A great write with wise words, Viv! Jesus commanded us to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Imagine how wonderful it would be if everyone listened and obeyed the greatest commandment...I love the last line. You summed it up perfectly...hugs, Rhonda
